While a good chunk of my collection focused upon 1920/30s Bulova watches, I’ve found some interesting Hamilton’s recently. This 1939 Hamilton Bagley is slightly smaller than most modern men’s watches but the design still looks good in my opinion. Two-tone enamel dial and nice looking Art Deco numbers stand out on the wrist despite the smaller stature of the case.
It came in with a broken mainspring and pretty roughed up crystal. Fortunately, a mainspring is fairly easy to get on Ebay still for the 6/0 sized 987A movement and I’ve done some clean up of the crystal. I’m happy to say it’s running right along accurately now for a small investment in time. As I’ve done some research, it’s a hard watch to find so I’m pretty pleased with it.
